The 2091 3MMC particulate filter is NIOSH-approved for atmospheres containing certain oil-based or oil-free particles.

The P100 2091 3MMC particulate filter provides respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic and MDA. The filter is effective at concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit with half-face masks, or up to 50 times the permissible exposure limit with full-face masks that have undergone quantitative adjustment testing. This filter offers protection against a wide range of oil-based and oil-free particulate contaminants. 3M's advanced electrostatic filter provides a combination of comfort and lightness without restricting breathing. The 2091 filter is commonly used for welding, brazing, flame cutting, metal casting and soldering. Inventory needs and training requirements for protective equipment are reduced, as this cartridge is suitable for a wide range of applications. This filter is both flame-retardant and water-repellent. Industries in which this filter is typically used include agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and primary metals.
