This Privacy Notice describes the different types of personal data we may collect, how we use this information and when (in specific circumstances) we may disclose this information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any Web site other than Riobec that may be linked to or from this Site.

INFORMATION GATHERING

Riobec does not collect any personal information about you unless you have expressly and knowingly provided it. Such information may include name, shipping and billing addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card information and customer preference information. Here are some of the ways in which we may collect this information from you:

• Registration and Ordering: Before you can use certain parts of this Site, or before you can begin ordering products, you must complete a registration form. When you register, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, including, but not limited to, your name, shipping and billing addresses, telephone number, e-mail address and credit card number. In addition, you may be asked to indicate your gender, occupation, country of residence and, for business accounts, the country in which the company operates. This information enables us to comply with current laws and regulations. In addition, this personal data is used for billing purposes, order processing, communication with you regarding your order and this Site, and internal marketing. If we encounter a problem in processing your order, we use your personal data to contact you.
• E-mail address: certain parts of the Site allow you to enter your e-mail address, in particular for the purpose of, but not limited to: registering for the newsletter, the Ambassadeur Club or opening a Riobec account.
• Live support: our instant messaging function records all conversations for a period set by Riobec. These transcripts are consulted by Riobec for training and customer service purposes only.
• Written evaluations: Riobec requires a valid registered e-mail address and a reviewer name to complete the review form for a specific Riobec product. Following the moderation process, your review, along with your reviewer name and date, will be posted on our Site.
• Video reviews: you can send a video review by uploading or recording directly on our Site. This review may be rated, tagged or exchanged by users accessing the Site via email or social networking sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram or Google+). Following the moderation process, the video is uploaded to our Site. Please note that if your Riobec profile is linked to a profile on a social networking site (such as Facebook), your name serves as a hyperlink and users of the Site are able to click to access your profile on the social networking site.

Riobec may transfer your personal data between its subsidiaries. In the event of a transfer of your personal data, Riobec will (i) comply with all applicable laws and (ii) take all reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of your personal data.

USE OF INFORMATION

We do not sell or rent customer information, and all information provided to Riobec remains confidential, provided that :

• We may share aggregated or summary data about our customers with partners, advertisers or other third parties.
• We may share information with companies that perform support services for us, such as printing companies, mailing houses, payment service providers or website hosts. These companies require information about you in order to perform their functions, and are subject to confidentiality agreements. Unless otherwise required by law, they are not authorized to use the personal data they receive from us for any other purpose. This information may also be shared with marketing companies that we believe may offer products or services that may be of interest to you. This helps them and/or Riobec to market products and services in line with the marketing preferences you have indicated as part of your registration.
• We use your personal information to communicate with you regarding your orders and deliveries, and we may send you a confirmation e-mail when you register or place an order with us. In addition, if you provide your e-mail address to sign up for the newsletter, the Ambassadeur Club or to open a Riobec account, we may use this information to keep in touch with you and/or to monitor whether you open and/or click on URLs in Riobec e-mails.
• We may be required to disclose such information (a) in response to a subpoena, court order, request from law enforcement officers, (b) if the request is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of Riobec or other parties, or (c) if we are required by law to disclose such information.
• We may disclose the identity of the winner of an online sweepstakes, contest or promotion.
• In the event that Riobec or its affiliates are acquired by or merged with another company, we may share your information with our legitimate transferees.
• We will use your written and/or video evaluations on our Site and/or within Riobec for the purpose of improving products, developing new products, improving the customer experience and possibly for communication or public relations purposes.

PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

We go to great lengths to ensure that shopping on our site is easy, safe and worry-free. We have taken several measures, including PCI DSS compliance, to ensure the protection and security of your orders and credit card data. Our servers use SSL protocol, an advanced encryption technology compatible with the main browser applications available on the market, and the Site's security has been tested and verified by specialized security providers.

If you suspect unauthorized use of your bank card, you must inform the company that issued your bank card, in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Please note that Riobec will assume this responsibility only if you are not responsible for unauthorized use of your credit card for purchases made online with Riobec while using our secure server.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF CHILDREN'S DATA

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If we become aware that we have collected personally identifiable information from a user of the Site who is under the age of thirteen, we will delete that child's personal information from our records.

WITHDRAWAL/CORRECTIONS

You have the right to (a) access, correct, delete or update your personal data, (b) stop receiving e-mails from us by clicking on the opt-out message in the communication or by sending an e-mail to [email protected], (c) prohibit us from monitoring whether you open and/or click on URLs in Riobec's e-mails by clicking on the opt-out message in the communication or by sending an e-mail to [email protected], and/or, (d) delete your account to prevent any further purchases on that account. Please note that in the event of account deletion, we will retain certain information (including but not limited to personal information) in order to fulfill our legal and accounting obligations, for business purposes and to protect Riobec's interests (e.g., invoices, payment transaction details, shipping and transactional information, etc.). You may also make such requests by e-mail to [email protected]. Please clearly indicate "Withdrawal/Corrections" as the subject of the message, without sending your credit card number or any other sensitive information by e-mail. In certain circumstances, identification and proof of payment may be required.

OFFLINE COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

Most of the information we collect is obtained through our Site, and this Privacy Notice applies solely to that online collection of personal data. We also collect certain information offline, and we strive to protect the confidentiality of your personal data in that case as well. For example, you may call us to place an order or to ask a question. When someone calls us, we only ask for the personal data we need to place the order or answer the question. When we need to store information (such as order information), we enter it into our database using SSL encryption. (See Protecting your information above for more information). Please note that all calls are recorded for training and customer service purposes, as well as to provide evidence of any potential transactions. Calls are retained for a period set by Riobec.
