This cleanser extracts the oil secreted by poison ivy, poison sumac and sumac. When applied within two to eight hours of exposure, Tecnu removes urushiol oil (the toxin that causes itching) before itching begins. If itching is already present, this product removes all traces of oil from the skin, accelerating the natural healing process without the risk of re-contamination.

Contaminated clothing, shoes, gloves, tools and pets can also spread urushiol. Since urushiol is not volatile, it can live on these surfaces for months, even years. Use Tecnu cleaner to extract the oil and avoid the itching caused by secondary contact.
- Apply to dry skin for two minutes, then rinse with cool water or wipe off with a cloth.
- Ingredients :deodorized mineral spirits, water, propylene glycol, ethoxylated octylphenol, fatty acid soap blend and fragrance.
