The 7093 3MMC particulate filter is NIOSH-approved for atmospheres containing certain oil-based or oil-free particles. Designed for use with 3M? 5000 Series respirators or 3M? 6000 Series cartridges with 3M? 502 adapter, 3M? 6000 Series masks or 3M? 7000 Series masks with bayonet filter retainers.
When properly adjusted, the 7093 3MMC particulate filter is suitable for a variety of applications, including welding, soldering, flashlight cutting, metal casting, soldering, as well as exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic and diamino-4,4'-diphenylmethane (MDA) for concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit with half-face masks, or up to 50 times the permissible exposure limit with full-face masks. Full-face masks must be quantitatively fit-tested to achieve a characteristic protection factor greater than 10 in negative pressure mode. Do not use if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH).
