The 2097 3MMC particulate filter with protection against harmful concentrations of organic vapors offers respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic and MDA. The filter is effective at concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit with half-face masks, or up to 50 times the permissible exposure limit with full-face masks that have undergone quantitative adjustment testing. This filter offers protection against a wide range of oil-based and oil-free particulate contaminants. It also offers protection against the noxious odors of organic vapors below the permissible exposure limit. Harmful concentrations are those below OSHA's permissible exposure limit, or another government workplace exposure limit, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection in the presence of organic vapors or if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH). Filter 2097 is commonly used for welding, brazing, flame cutting, metal casting and soldering.
