P100 filter against harmful particles and odors
--
The 2097 3MTM particulate filter is NIOSH-approved for atmospheres containing certain oil-based or oil-free particles. Recommended by 3M against harmful concentrations of organic vapors and against ozone concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA permissible exposure limit.
The 2097 3MMC particulate filter with protection against harmful concentrations of organic vapors offers respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic and MDA. The filter is effective at concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit with half-face masks, or up to 50 times the permissible exposure limit with full-face masks that have undergone quantitative adjustment testing. This filter offers protection against a wide range of oil-based and oil-free particulate contaminants. It also offers protection against the noxious odors of organic vapors below the permissible exposure limit. Harmful concentrations are those below OSHA's permissible exposure limit, or another government workplace exposure limit, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection in the presence of organic vapors or if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH). Filter 2097 is commonly used for welding, brazing, flame cutting, metal casting and soldering. Inventory needs and training requirements for protective equipment are reduced, as this cartridge is suitable for a wide range of applications. This filter is typically used in the following industries: Agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, primary metals.
- Exceptional filter efficiency of 99.97% meets NIOSH test criteria for P100 series filters
- Versatile protection against many oil-based and oil-free particulate contaminants.
- Protection against noxious odours from organic vapours below the permissible exposure limit
- Its compatibility with bayonet restraints means it can be used with many 3M? half-mask and full-mask models.
- The wide range of applications reduces stock and training requirements.
